Christmas Gifts Reactions

It's after Christmas and I want to give the reactions to the gifts...well at least the ones I made.  My  cousin(monkey anything) squealed when she got hers.  No suprise that her and her mother had to have the gifts explained to them.  From what I was told at least, I was off having Christmas with my other half of the family.  My mom loved her cat.  I was happy about that.  My grandfather was happy with his scarf but why wouldn't the biggest Bronco fan I know be unhappy with a Broncos scarf.  My grandma has repurposed the mug holder to go under her tea pot to help keep it warm.  She knew what she was getting as I was making it.  Booo.  Then my uncle was disapointed because he didn't get his tissue spitting willy warmer but liked his beard and hat.

So as soon as I finish the Woodstock for grandma's Birthday it's on to Christmas again.  So I'm hoping to have a post every month for you guys with the gifts.  Now my mom might be the one that is hard to do because I might finish one little dwarf and hand it to her.  I have issues keeping things from her.

The Master Pattern List: Going into the New Year

So as I have been updating my pattern list that have been seen in the background of some progress photos.  I have a few patterns that I have noticed that have a little thing about no selling or it's okay to sell the finished product.  So I'm searching for some of the patterns looking for the answers.  I wanted to share the master list here and I will link the blog post on Facebook so those who keep up on me there can.  So I will link in a Google Doc with the link to the pattern at the end.  This also helps if anyone wants to request something.  Now my "pattern books" from All Free Crochet do require an email to download and view the whole book but has a preview of some of the patterns.  I am including in my new list a sheet with the "books" a list of the patterns broken down.  I will also be getting tabs to go between each pattern in the "book" for easier searching for me.

I am going through updating on the actual book itself as of this moment, sorry for those who have checked this thinking the Doc is up and linked already.  I'm working my tush off right now.  It's late and I have spent most of my night on this I'm going to just save and upload it and will change it out later.  I have more patterns to add and update it with any way so I will do that on this then update again after that is all done.

Cheshire Cat

So here is my mom's Christmas gift.  Now on the post of progress on the Facebook page hasn't named this yet.  So if you are planning to go over and check it out please don't say what it is.  I'm keeping it secret incase my mom is following the page.  So now on to the fun stuff for this.

So I have already finished up the ears and head with exception to stuffing and adding the eyes.  Wow I am sober and can't type or talk tonight.  So anyway, this one is a lot of fun to work on because I'm using a color changing yarn...I hope people understand what I mean by that.  I know it says work in pink and purple but I am just using this color change.  It's really cool looking.  Well now I'm off to print the pattern and get to work on it again as well as the rest of my Christmas gifts.

Project Problems

So I have been hard at work on projects and have run into a problem.  My stuff keeps going missing.  I know I was going to update pictures of finished projects for the Facebook page but sadly I can't find my bag of gifts.   Yes all completed Christmas gifts are missing as well as my scissors.   I have an idea on the projects because of the moving of stuff in my room in search of a better binder for the "♡Master Book of Patterns♡".  Yes that is what it's going to be called from now on.

I will search and organize the yarn stash better tonight hopefully find the finished stuff.

Found my scissors!  Still looking for the projects.

Found the projects!  They weren't hidden they were in plain sight.  Behind my monitor as well as another project I did for myself that I think is from the Christmas patterns.

Peanuts

Yes a post all about the Peanuts Characters.   It's all for my grandparents mostly my grandma but Snoopy is going to be for my grandpa because he is Charlie Brown.   So I'm going to leave my post for Woodstock where it is but add all the others here.

This is a free patern thank god!  I've had some recent troubles with some paid paterns.  Such as I can't download them.  At least not 2 of the 4 I bought and will have to re-buy them so I can download them.  This is also a 3 part pattern I only linked to the first part here.  Just so you all know.

So this one is a paid pattern.  Hopefully and looking at it this isn't from the same one that you have to pay everytime to download it.

All of the Woodstock will be under that post so please check that out for updates on him.

Batmen....Batmans.....Whatever. Part 1

So I don't know if the plural of Batman is correct.  Anyway my husband and stepson both are Batman fans.  So here is part one for my stepson.  His birthday is in October and I love giving handmade gifts as you can tell from this blog as most of my projects are for others.
I just got back home from buying all the yarns and felt.  Plan on posting pictures of it on my Facebook page personal and the actual page.
So I'm taking a short break to pick my husband up from work and while working on his son's Batman I have decided so they can tell the two apart I will be doing one with the hdc on the back loop for the side I'm working on for C(my stepson, not using names due to the fact he is a minor and I don't have permission from his dad or mom to use his name.).  Then for my husband I will be doing th hdc on the back loop for the side that will be facing out.  I admit I tend to work on it as if I'm doing wrong side out.

Also while on this topic of Batman anyone know a free pattern for Harley Quinn?  I found a Joker pattern but can't find Harley.  Yes eventually as a family we will have the whole gang.  Villains and Heros.  We are a DC comics house.
Batman
I haven't worked on it in a couple of days but was just thinking about it.  I had to redo one of the feet/leg.  Tension and doing the same thing is very important.  Now I don't like just starting a new round without closing the first.  Well I was doing that on the first leg and on the second I didn't.  Hence why I had to start over.

UPDATE: I am working on the head now and have to say I didn't realize when I started on it that things would not go the way I planned.  It is all one big piece for the body and head.  Also I will update later with a link to the album on Facebook with my project pictures.

UPDATE: Project has been put on hold for Christmas Gifts.

What do you do with your projects?

I'm very curious about this.  I love working on projects but if I don't have someone to give it to I don't know what to do with it.  No some I admit that I make them for myself because I want it.  The rest I don't know.  I've thought about donating them to things like an old family friend who does a Christmas dinner.  It is free and she has coats, hats, gloves, and scarves that people can take.  So for that stuff can be taken care but what about the rest?  I've been looking and found some where they take bears with handmade clothes to them.  I don't want to buy a bear/doll and dress it I like making my own.  I thought maybe making some animals for the kids that come with parents to the dinner.  I just don't want to take away from the gifts that the woman who does it puts together.

So what do you do?  Got any good suggestions for me?  Do you think me also donating my animal creations that I want to make would be a good addition with the gifts or not?

I'm sorry for the questions but I need other opinions.  My family isn't much help with this because they see my projects(with the exception of my mom) as a big yarn mess.

Make a youtube video at least once a month.
Finish a project every month.
